The K-State Golf Course Management & Research Foundation and Colbert Hills Golf Course are getting ready to host another exciting Colbert Charity Classic professional golf tournament.  The tournament, now in its seventh year, will take place July 18-21, 2018 and promises to be a first-class event for the Manhattan community.  Thank you to our tournament sponsors including our Presenting Sponsors; Little Apple Toyota/Honda and the Manhattan Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Last year provided a great championship from start to finish as Dustin Korte (Metropolis, IL) shot a 3-under par (69) in the final round to win by one shot over Steven Fox (Nashville, TN) and finish at 14-under par for his first APT Tour victory.  Furthermore, Anthony Paolucci (Dallas, TX) fired a Colbert Hills course record 9-under (63) in his 3rd round with 9 birdies and 9 pars.  Two former K-State letter winners participated and made the cut, Kyle Weldon finished T28th and Connor Knabe was T40th in his first professional golf event.

The Colbert Charity Classic is FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC throughout the week and join us to crown the 2018 Champion on Saturday, July 21st at approximately 2:30 p.m. on the Colbert Hills Clubhouse patio area.  This APT Tour event will have an estimated purse of $135,000 and the Champion is guaranteed $20,000.

In conjunction with the event is a Tuesday Pro-Am Tournament (July 17th) with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.  The format is a 3-person scramble and 2-person APT golf professional best ball.  The cost is $250 per player and includes golf, cart, three meals, player gift, and a $125 tax-deductible contribution to support the professional tournament expenses.  Our goal is to secure 24 teams and that will give 48 golf professionals, the ability to participate and they typically use this opportunity as their practice round.  Click on image below for Pro-Am Tournament details and registration.
